Global infertility report: Many new threats related to health are coming out in today’s run -of -the -mill life. One of these is infertility. A recent report by the World Health Organization (WHO) has presented shocking figures about this problem. According to the report, 1 of every 6 adults of reproductive age is a victim of infertility problem. WHO said in its first global estimate report that, on an average 17.5 percent of the people in the world are facing infertility. That is, 1 out of every 6 adults have this problem. Infertility rate in the Western Pacific region is the highest 23.2 percent. In the US, this figure is about 20% percent. 16.5 percent in Europe and 13.1 percent in Africa have infertility problems. At the same time, it is the lowest 10.7 percent in the eastern Mediterranean region.

According to WHO, if a couple is unable to conceive even after having a security relationship for 12 months, it is called infertility.

  • Obesity and unhealthy lifestyle

The report also stated that women struggling with infertility not only have to face mental pressure, but many times they have to face stigma, discrimination and violence in the society.
