A recent report by the World Health Organization (WHO) has presented shocking figures about this problem. According to the report, 1 of every 6 adults of reproductive age is a victim of infertility problem. WHO said in its first global estimate report that, on an average 17.5 percent of the people in the world are facing infertility. That is, 1 out of every 6 adults have this problem. Infertility rate in the Western Pacific region is the highest 23.2 percent. In the US, this figure is about 20% percent. 16.5 percent in Europe and 13.1 percent in Africa have infertility problems. At the same time, it is the lowest 10.7 percent in the eastern Mediterranean region.

According to WHO, if a couple is unable to conceive even after having a security relationship for 12 months, it is called infertility.
