The Indian -origin tea businessman became a very special day of his life on Thursday (July 24) for Akhil Patel, when he served the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and British PM Kir Stmper with his hands by making masala tea at the official residence of British Prime Minister’s checkers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also shared pictures of this moment on his X account, in which the stall of Prime Minister Akhil Patel of both countries is seen waiting for the masala tea. Akhil Patel was also seen in the shared pictures of PM Modi, who traditionally was wearing a white kurta and Nehru jacket for this special occasion and he was seen putting masala tea in the paper cup from the kettle in the picture.

The tea business of Indian origin citizen Akhil Patel is named ‘Amala Chai’. Amala Chai founder Akhil Patel shared a clip on Thursday (July 24) with the Instagram handle of Amala tea and told about that special day. Expressing surprise, he said, “I have come on PM Modi’s Instagram.”

Patel further explained about this day that he received an invitation to serve tea during the celebration in checkers after the UK-India Free Trade Agreement. He said, “I was one of some of the few brands of brands selected there. I did not know that I would even drink tea to the big ministers of Britain and India, PM Modi and PM stormers.”,
Patel said, “Those visiting my tea stalls included UK business secretary Jonathan Reynolds and Health Secretary Ves Stating. He liked tea so much that he came back many times and took cups again. Even India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also tasted his tea.”

Recalling the most special moment of the day, Akhil Patel said, “Then both the big leaders started coming towards me and came in front of me and started asking for tea. During this time both the Prime Ministers were talking to each other. Then I served them tea and said- this is for another tea seller from the tea seller.”
He said, “Perhaps it was one of the most special and madrees of my life. I loved both PM Modi and PM Starmer, and Starmar liked my tea!”
