Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav, while addressing a press conference in Lucknow on Saturday, cornered the government on many political issues. During this period, a large number of people also took membership of Samajwadi Party. Akhilesh Yadav welcomed many people including former DIG Ram Sharad Ram into the party and said that this will strengthen the party.
Akhilesh Yadav said that I welcome Ram Sharad Ram, who is a former DIG, to the Samajwadi Party. He said that a large number of people are joining SP, which makes it clear that public trust in Samajwadi Party is increasing.
Target on government regarding inflation and tax
In the press conference, Akhilesh Yadav made a scathing attack on the central and state governments regarding inflation and taxes. He said that on one hand the government is continuously imposing taxes and on the other hand inflation is continuously increasing.
He said, “While the government is imposing taxes on one side, inflation is increasing on the other side. Today itself, LPG price has increased by Rs 60 more. He said that due to some circumstances, inflation has to be done, we will reduce it later, but once something becomes expensive, it does not reduce later.”
Inflation will go away only when BJP leaves – Akhilesh Yadav
Akhilesh Yadav said that wherever there is BJP government, people are facing problems. He said that the reason for the high price of vehicles is also due to heavy taxes. According to him, almost 50 percent tax is being imposed on vehicles, which is putting additional burden on the common people. He said, “We understand only one thing that inflation will stop only when the BJP leaves.”
Questions on police and law and order
Akhilesh Yadav also raised questions on law and order and police functioning. He said that questions are being raised on the role of police in many cases. He said that news came from Kanpur that call details of police people were leaked. When the call details came out, it was revealed that he was the one giving information to the criminals.
The police was smuggling ganja. The call details of the police were released, but the call details of the criminals were not released. He raised the question that so much ganja is caught, but where does it go?
Talk of FIR regarding BJP’s song
Akhilesh Yadav said that BJP people have launched a song to defame Samajwadi Party. He said, “BJP people have launched a new song, we will file an FIR on it. We will understand that they will not be caught and if they are not caught then understand that they are BJP people.”
Enumerate the works of SP government
Akhilesh Yadav also mentioned the work done during his government. He said that the Samajwadi Party government had started many big projects in the state.
He said, “The one who did so much work earlier, built the expressway, distributed laptops, built the river front and took many big decisions. Most of the thermal plants in UP were built under the SP government. If BJP has built even a single thermal plant in UP, then tell me.”
He also said that the Samajwadi Party government did many big works like Lok Bhavan, Cancer Institute, Big University, Dial 100, ambulance system and riverfront.
Shivpal Yadav also surrounded the government
Shivpal Yadav also fiercely attacked the government in the press conference. He said that today’s government is the most corrupt government ever. He said, “There has never been such a corrupt government in history. This government has broken all the records of corruption.”
Shivpal Yadav said that corruption is happening at every level in the state and the people are upset. He said that people associated with transport, laborers and the general public are all troubled and they are being looted.
He said that corruption is also taking place in the budget of UP. According to him, a huge amount was spent on potholes in nine years, but the potholes on the roads were not filled.
Election Commission and allegations of vote cutting
Akhilesh Yadav also raised questions on the Election Commission. He said that if Samajwadi Party people had not raised their voice, preparations were being made to cut votes at many places.
He said, “Ask the Election Commission who was the one who got Nandlal’s vote done or got signatures done. If the SP people had not made noise then they would have made preparations to get votes deducted in every assembly. In Sarojini Nagar, many votes were being deducted due to the signature of the same person.”
Russia is India’s old friend
Referring to the Iran-Israel war in the press conference, Akhilesh Yadav said that it is the responsibility of the government to bring those who want to return home safely to India. He said that Russia is an old friend of India and if cheaper oil is available from Russia then India should buy more oil so that the country’s economy can improve.
Earlier Nitish could have become Prime Minister – Akhilesh
Speaking on the politics of Bihar, Akhilesh Yadav said that earlier there was discussion that Nitish Kumar can become the Prime Minister, but now the situation has changed. He said that Keshav Prasad Maurya should get a new helicopter. In the case of death of a 13 year old child due to bullet injury in Lucknow, he said that Samajwadi Party will help that family.
Regarding Shankaracharya, Akhilesh Yadav said, “Shankaracharya is also an idea. We all want to serve the cow, but the way allegations of defaming him are being made, along with Shankaracharya, Sanatan is also being defamed.”
PDA claims to form government
Akhilesh Yadav said that in the coming time, a government of PDA (Backward, Dalit and Minority) will be formed. He said that Samajwadi Party will become a strong option in the state by including the exploited and oppressed sections of the society.
He said that now an atmosphere is being created and everyone will have to work together. “It is the responsibility of all of us to remove this government and provide relief to the people.”
