‘I would also stop my mother like a soldier …’
Riya Chakraborty wrote in a post on Instagram- ‘On behalf of a military daughter, I have grown up to see my father wearing her uniform like another skin. Calm, proud, ready. And I have grown up to see my mother stopping tears like a soldier too. Being the daughter of an army officer means that you soon learn that love often looks like a distance, the pride is quietly holding the hand of fear.
‘I am sending love, strength and salute’
In the post, Riya further wrote- ‘Today I sleep safely in my house because someone else’s father, mother, brother or sister are there- are standing on the border, chesting. Every Army, Navy and Air Force family who is waiting, is expecting, praying. I can see you I can feel you I stand with you. I am sending love, strength and salute from one military home to another. Jai Hind.’
