Union Minister Amit Shah introduced three new bills in Parliament on Wednesday (August 20, 2025), which the opposition created a lot of uproar. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi opposed the three new bills of the government, calling him an open exemption to become a executioner.

In the Lok Sabha, Owaisi said, ‘It violates the principle of sharing of powers and weakens the right to choose the government. This gives the executive agencies an open exemption to become a judge and a executioner on the basis of disgusting allegations and doubts.

Government bent on forming police state: Owaisi

Asaduddin Owaisi further said, ‘This government is bent on creating a police state. This will be a nail of death for the elected government. The Constitution of India is being amended to convert this country into a police state. According to the AIMIM chief, this step is a direct attack on elected governments and weakening the roots of democracy.

Owaisi warned that if these Bills were implemented, it will prove to be ‘Death Nail’ (final war) on India’s democracy. Owaisi described it as an attempt to suppress the voice of the public by tampering with the constitution.

What is the 130th Constitution Amendment Bill?

Explain that the opposition is very attacked by the second bill (130th Amendment Bill) in the three bills presented by the government in Parliament. According to the rules of this bill, whether it is the Chief Minister of the state or the Prime Minister of the country, if he has any serious criminal charge and he is in jail for 30 consecutive days, he will have to withdraw from his post. While presenting the bill, Amit Shah said that the government proposes to send it to the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC).
