In view of the current India-Pak current situation, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has taken an important decision. The CA exam to be held in May 2025 will no longer be on the fixed date. ICAI has postponed the CA exam in view of the increasing tension between India and Pakistan and the conditions created after operation vermilion.

The official notification issued by ICAI clearly states that all the remaining CA examinations to be held between May 9 to May 14, 2025 are currently being postponed due to the current conditions in the country. It also includes CA final, intermediate, post qualification courses and International Taxation Assessment Test (INTT AT).

New date will come soon

However, ICAI has not yet announced new dates. Students have been advised not to pay attention to any rumor and take updates only from the official website icai.org. The institute has also clarified that the new dates of the examination will be announced soon after the situation is normal.

Border tension

This decision of ICAI has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the candidates. Security alerts have been issued at many places amidst the ongoing tension on the Indo-Pak border, and this step has been taken keeping in mind this.

Every year a large number of students give ICAI’s CA exams. While some students are disappointed due to sudden postponement, most of them believe that in such a situation, security is earlier. ICAI has appealed to all students to maintain patience and monitor the website.
