On 7 May 2025, India carried out an operation that made the world realize the strength and solidarity of the Indian Army. India made a strong air strike under ‘Operation Sindoor’, targeting the 9 terrorist bases present in Pakistan. The special thing is that the entire mission was carried out by the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force together. This is the first time that the three armies have taken such action together.
Another special thing about this operation is that the three army chiefs have been batchmates of the same batch. Yes, these 1984 batch companions of NDA are leading the army of India today and while converting this friendship into a mission, the three together made a strategy of Operation Sindoor and successfully carried out it.
Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi (Army Chief)
Upendra Dwivedi, who came from Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh, studied at Sainik School Rewa and passed out from NDA in 1984. He was commissioned in the 18th Battalion of Jammu and Kashmir Rifles and he has been part of several operations related to terrorism and border security in a 39-year military career.

Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi (Navy)
Dinesh Tripathi, leaving a small village in Uttar Pradesh, also studied from Sainik School Rewa and became an NDA batchmate in 1984. He played many important responsibilities in the Indian Navy. Tripathi, who has trained from Naval War College, USA, holds deep hold in strategic affairs.
Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh (Air Chief)
Amar Preet Singh, an experienced fighter pilot, has blown fighter jets like MiG-21, Sukhoi-30. He has also been a Test pilot and flying instructor. He has played an important role in the Air Force strategy. In NDA, he studied in 1984 batch along with Upendra and Dinesh.
