The president of a prominent Islamic organization in Indonesia condemned all types of terrorism during a meeting with the all -party delegation of India on Friday (May 30, 2025). He called for India and Indonesia to come together to promote peace and economic development.
The all -party parliamentary delegation led by Janata Dal United (JDU) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha has come here to inform the local political and diplomatic leadership and the think tank about India’s attitude in the fight against terrorism.
The delegation met KH Ulil Abshar Abdullah, president of the Nahdalatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) and Khalili Khalil, the committee member of the world’s largest Islamic organization NU and sought their unwavering support against violence and religious extremism.
The Indian Embassy in Jakarta said in a post on the social media platform X, ‘Ekta in diversity or Binneka Tunggal Ika, as well as the largest Muslim population peace loving country, has adopted these values in the state policy and routine. The leader of the delegation urged NeU leaders to support India and condemn terrorism across the border to give a tough message to the world.
The post said, “Condemning the attack on terrorism and innocent citizens, KH Ulil said that he feels the pain of India and he called upon India and Indonesia to come together to promote peace and economic development.” The delegation met the leaders of the National Mandet Party (PAN) on Thursday, who clearly stated that religion and race could not be the basis for spreading terrorism.
The delegation also interacted with the ambassadors of 20 friendly countries in Indonesia and shared his views on India’s well -planned and strong response through Operation Sindoor. Apart from Sanjay Kumar Jha, the delegation includes MP Aparajita Sarangi (BJP), Abhishek Banerjee, Brij Lal (BJP), John Britas (CPI -M), Dosa Barua (BJP), Hemang Joshi (BJP), former Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid and former India Ambassador Mohan Kumar in France and Bahrain.
This delegation is one of the seven multi -party delegations that India have tasked to visit 33 global capitals to make access to the international community and emphasize Pakistan’s relations with terrorism.
