India-pakistan ceasefire: There have been 2 big revelations about the operation vermilion launched in response to the terrorist attack on April 22, 2025 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. During this operation, 9 terrorist bases within Pakistan and PoK were merged into the soil. After this, the army of Baukhalai Asim Munir tried to target the common citizens of India and the military base which failed. Pakistan had suffered heavy losses in the struggle till 10 May and had to cease to ceasefire.
Many questions also arose about this ceasefire. However, now a new revelation has been revealed about this. India Today, in one of its reports quoting top sources, claimed that Pakistan, who was afraid of the Indian Army attacks, had called India for a ceasefire not once but twice. The first phone in this was made only on 7 May when 9 terrorists were destroyed. India was approached by Pakistan Director General of Military Operations (DGMO).
Doubt on Pakistan’s honesty
The report said that those who know about this conversation say that Pakistan’s honesty is suspicious because on one hand he was appealing for peace, on the other hand, he was also targeting Indian military locations. However, DGMO level conversation took place at 3:35 pm on May 10 after military action on the border for three days by the two countries. After this, India and Pakistan agreed to the ceasefire.
America has nothing to do with ceasefire
This ceasefire was possible through military communication channels, not due to American mediation. Its purpose was to reduce stress between two powers. Earlier, Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal had also said that the ceasefire proposal was made when the DGMO of Pakistan had requested a conversation with its Indian counterpart.
