India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the Indian cricket team on winning the Asia Cup 2025. Team India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets in the final. PM Modi congratulated the victory through social media and said that Team India defeated Pakistan and run Operation Vermau on the cricket field.
PM Modi wrote on India’s historic victory, “Operation vermilion on the cricket field. The result is the same. Congratulations to our cricket players.”
After the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Army had destroyed the terrorist bases in Pakistan by running Operation Sindoor. Prime Minister Modi, citing the same, said that India has trampled Pakistan in cricket too.

India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets in the last over match. This was the third time when Team India defeated Pakistan in the 2025 Asia Cup. Abhishek Sharma, who was the top scorer of the tournament, was dismissed for just 5 runs in the final match, but this time Tilak Verma took over the responsibility, who contributed 69 runs.
Pakistan team started very well in the final match, which scored 84 runs without losing wickets. But after that the wickets fell and the Pak team was all out on a score of just 146. In response, Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav could not walk. But Tilak Verma’s 69 runs, Sanju Samson’s 24 runs and Shivam Dubey’s innings of 33 runs took Team India towards victory.
