Good news has emerged for the youth who dream of becoming government teachers. The way for big recruitment related to education department has opened in Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission (HPRCA) has released the recruitment notification for the posts of Junior Basic Teacher (JBT).
Under this recruitment, a total of 600 posts will be filled in the state. According to the Commission, the online application process for this recruitment will start from March 16, 2026. To apply for recruitment, the candidate must have the necessary educational qualifications. According to the Commission, the candidate should have passed Senior Secondary (12th). Along with this, the candidate should have any recognized course related to teacher training-

What is the age limit?
Age limit has also been fixed for recruitment. According to the Commission, keeping in mind January 1, 2026, the minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years and maximum age should be 45 years. However, as per government rules, reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in the upper age limit.

How much will the application fee cost?
For this recruitment, candidates of all categories will have to deposit an application fee of Rs 800. This fee will be deposited through online mode. If a candidate makes any mistake while filling the form and wants to correct it, he will get a chance to correct it by paying a separate fee of Rs 200.
How will the selection be done?
Candidates will be selected in this recruitment through several stages. First of all the candidates will have to give computer based test or written screening test. The written examination will be of 120 marks. 120 questions will be asked in this and all questions will be of multiple choice type. Candidates will be given one and a half hour time to solve the question paper. Candidates who perform better in the examination will be selected for further process.
