Senior Congress leader and Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor has praised Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. He said that Rahul Gandhi is a vocal voice against communalism. The statement from Tharoor has come when recently he met Leader of Opposition and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi.
Tharoor on Friday (January 30, 2026) completely rejected the speculations about his sour relations with the top leadership of Congress and also praised Rahul Gandhi. He said that Rahul Gandhi is a vocal voice against communalism in the country. He said that he will not leave the Congress party. Tharoor said that Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge are my two leaders. During this, he downplayed the controversy after the recently held Kochi Mahapanchayat.
Tharoor is making strategy for Kerala assembly elections
Ahead of the assembly elections in Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor has given a big message about unity in the party, where the Congress-led UDF is aiming to oust the current LDF government led by P. Vijayan from power in the state. On this occasion, Tharoor said that he is working on a plan to campaign extensively in the assembly elections to be held in Kerala in a total of 140 assembly constituencies of the state.

The Congress MP has given a big statement about his election campaign plans in Kerala. He said that people completely ignore the fact that in the last several elections, I had campaigned in 56 assembly constituencies of the state. This will not change. I hope that this time the names of some more assembly constituencies will be included in this list.
He said that it is very important that we send the right message to the voters and get the opportunity to make a significant impact on people’s lives.

He said that all our colleagues in the Congress Party are working together. These are my two leaders – first is Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and second is the leader of the opposition in my House in Parliament. Together we are all moving in a positive direction.
