Head coach Gautam has been engulfed in a serious controversy before India vs England fifth Test. He was seen raising a finger on the pitch curator Lee Fortis during the practice session at the Oval ground. Now Curator Fortis has reacted himself on this subject. Fortis says that Gautam Gambhir should be asked what happened on the field. Gambhir was heard saying that you do not need to tell what someone should do and what not.
Talking to the reporters, Lee Fortis was asked what his side is on this entire controversy. In response, he said, “You all saw how his mood was this morning. They are a little sensitive. There is no side on my side in this dispute, you should ask them only.”
Whatever happened on the field, Fortis was seen trying to postpone the questions of telling the facts about it. He said, “Everything is fine, there is no such thing as hiding anything here.”
What was the reason for the debate?
Gambhir and Fortis were told on the field when the Indian bowlers were setting their run-up mark in the nets. India’s batting coach Sitanshu Kotak has also given a big statement about this that this debate started due to the pitch curator. Actually, when the Indian support staff was going to see the pitch closely, then the curator shouted that he did not go close to the pitch.
Sitanshu Kotak further said, “None of our bowlers wore spikes shoes. You can be defensive, but it is wrong to be the engineer and obstinate. The curator said that he is trying to grow more grass on the pitch. Let me tell you that he was also threatened to officially complain against Gambhir.
