Chaos continues in Bangladesh. Minorities, especially Hindus, are being continuously targeted there. AIMIM Chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi has expressed concern over the situation in India’s neighboring country. On Sunday (December 28), he condemned the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh and stressed the strength of India-Bangladesh relations.
AIMIM supremo Owaisi said that his party strongly condemns the murder of Dipu Chandra Das and Amrit Mandal in Bangladesh. Along with this, it also supports the steps being taken by the Indian government to maintain strong relations with Bangladesh.
‘Bangladesh was formed on the basis of Bengali nationalism’
Asaduddin Owaisi said that Bangladesh was formed on the basis of secular Bengali nationalism and there are 2 crore minorities living there, who are not Muslims. I have full hope that tension between India and Bangladesh will not increase. Whatever is happening in Bangladesh regarding the tragic incident of Dipu Chandra Das and Amrit Mandal is against their own constitutional mandate. I hope that Yunus will ensure that all minorities living in Bangladesh are protected.
‘All those forces which are enemies of India are all in Bangladesh’
Owaisi said that we should also remember that stability in Bangladesh is very important for the security of India, especially the North East. There has been a popular revolution in Bangladesh and we hope that when the elections are held in February, relations between India and Bangladesh will be better than ever. We should also remember that ISI, China and all those forces are enemies of India. Now they all are in Bangladesh.
He further said that what is happening in Bangladesh is wrong but at the same time we should not forget what is happening in our country. He said that on December 24, a laborer from West Bengal was beaten to death in Sambalpur, Odisha. He further said that Angel Chakma, a tribal boy pursuing MBA in Uttarakhand was beaten up, resulting in his death.
