AIMIM has formed an alliance with Humayun Kabir’s Aam Janta Unnayan Party for the assembly elections in West Bengal. This information was given by party chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi during a speech. He said that our party will contest elections in Bengal. For this we have formed an alliance with Aam Janata Unnayan Party.
Apart from this, Owaisi said that assembly elections are going to be held in West Bengal. Our party has decided that in Maghrib Bengal the elections will be fought in alliance with Humayun Kabir’s party and the Majlis candidates will contest the elections as a part of that alliance. The only purpose of contesting this election is to strengthen our voice. Our community should be strengthened. Our representatives should strengthen the voice of the poor and the oppressed by winning from every corner of the country and ensure their rights.
You know that Mamata Banerjee has been the Chief Minister of West Bengal for three times. You will be surprised to know that about 3 percent of the population there is Muslim people. The certificates of about five lakh backward people were cancelled, in which most of the backward certificates were of Muslims. During this, Owaisi said that he talks about secularism just to say it. When it comes to implementation, they are not visible.
When will voting take place in West Bengal? Elections will be fought in two phases
The Election Commission announced the election dates of the upcoming five states including West Bengal on Sunday. Elections will be held in Bengal in 2 phases instead of 8 phases. The first phase notification will be issued on March 30. For this, candidates can file their nominations till 6th April. Withdrawal of nominations will be allowed on 9th April. Voting for the first phase will take place on April 23. Notification for the second phase will be issued on April 2. Nominations will be filed by April 9. Nominations for the second phase can be withdrawn till April 13.
Apart from this, the second phase of voting will take place on April 29. The counting of electoral votes will take place on 4th May 2026, with this the elections in the states will be completed on 6th May 2026. Voting will be held on 294 assembly seats in the state. With the announcement of election dates, the code of conduct has now been implemented in the state. Addressing the press conference, Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has said that strict action will be taken against those who commit political violence.
