Anshanya Dwivedi, wife of Shubham Dwivedi, who lost his life in the Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir, has strongly opposed the proposed cricket match of India and Pakistan. Anshanya said clearly that on one side the operation vermilion is running and how can a cricket match be played with Pakistan on the other side. He questioned whether the country forgot this accident in three months?

Shubham’s uncle Manoj Dwivedi said that cricket is a means of entertainment, but at this time any such game will be wrong. He said that after a cowardly attack like Pahalgam, no game should be held, especially with Pakistan.

According to the family, Shubham’s father is very hurt by this decision. The whole family opposed this decision of the BCCI, saying that it is a matter of national honor and no match can be accepted with the enemy country.

What happened in Pahalgam?
On April 22, 2025, tourists were attacked by terrorists in Basaron Valley of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. It killed 26 people, most of whom were Hindus. A Christian tourist and a local Muslim person also died. Kanpur resident Shubham Dwivedi was first shot by the terrorists.

The Indian Army has killed Hashim Musa, the mastermind of the attack and the top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba. He was not only responsible for Pahalgam, but also for the Sonamarg tunnel attack.
