Some compare the Uri attack of 2016
However, some others compared it with the Uri attack of 2016 and said that Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, in which Fawad was also in the lead role, was released exactly one month after the terrorist attack. The Uri attack took place on 18 September after which Pakistani artists were banned in India. The ‘ADHM’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was released on the big screen on October 28.
MNS has also expressed protest against Abir Gulal
It is being said that Abir Gulal is a cross-border romantic drama. The film was criticized a lot, especially for casting Fawad in it. Earlier this month, MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) expressed its opposition to the release of the film in Maharashtra. The party has expressed concern about the national security and impact on the Indian film industry, citing its long -standing protest towards Pakistani artists working in India. He has warned distributors and cinema owners against showing the film.
