Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari of Jama Masjid in Delhi said that former Pakistan President and Army Chief Pervez Musharraf once asked him to join Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, but he refused. He has lashed out at Pakistan on the Pahalgam attack and said that his antics affect crores of Muslims of India.
Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari said that he had spoken to Nawaz Sharif and Parvez Musharraf to improve the relations between India and Pakistan. He was also told to explain to organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed not to do such acts because it affects Hindustani Muslims.
Ahmed Bukhari said, ‘When Nawaz Sharif visited Hindustan, we had visited him. I told him that your rule has been created now, try to improve the relationship with India. We cannot show you the conditions that we have to go through.
The Imam said that he had told Nawaz Sharif that perhaps you understand that when a cricket match is held, then it is not the case if the Indian Muslim plays a cricket match. He stays away from these things. There was once a time, there was a time, but now it is not so. Talk to Wazir -e -Azam of India so that the situation between the two countries is better.
The Imam said, ‘I also said this to Pervez Musharraf. I said explain to Lashkar and Jaish, why are they doing this. They do this and the Muslims of India have to suffer. Parvez Musharraf told the general of the army sitting there at that time that he met Lashkar and Jaish, he will talk himself. I said no I will not meet them. You talk to them yourself and try to stop them. I refused to meet today nor never.
Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari said whether Pakistan has thought how much such killer actions have on how much affect the Muslims of India. Due to these wishes, how is the atmosphere of hatred in India increasing, which has disturbed all those people who want to live in peace in India. He said that Pakistan passed tax, but will millions of Muslims of India not have trouble in traveling in this situation. Will businesses not have any problem? Pakistan has any answer to this.
