Pahalgam terror attack survivor: In the attack on Tuesday (April 22) in Pahalgam in South Kashmir, Subodh Patil, who survived, said on Friday (May 2) that he was injured by the terrorists and the mules first helped him.
After undergoing treatment at the Army Hospital in Pahalgam, 60 -year -old Subodh Patil returned to his home in Kamothe, Navi Mumbai, on the night of Thursday (May 1). During this, Subodh Patil became emotional after remembering that dreadful scene and thanked those who helped the injured after the attack.
Seeing me, a group of mules came to me- Subodh
Subodh Patil said, “I was unconscious due to the bullet in the neck. When I came to my senses, I saw the corpses around me. Seeing me walking, a group of mules came to me and gave me water.” He said, “The mule that we had served was also one of them. The mule said that my wife is safe.”
Recalling the time, Patil said, “Another person helped me stand up, gave me his shoulder to support me and asked if I could walk.” He said that the mule people were binding his courage.
The mules took me to the medical center of the army- Subodh
According to Patil, the mule people took them outside the campus and gave them a cot to sit. He said, “After some time he brought a car and took me to the Indian Army’s Medical Center. From there I was taken by helicopter and admitted to the army hospital.”
The one who opposed the terrorists shot him immediately – Subodh
Patil said of the attack, “The terrorists asked all Hindu tourists to stand in a line. After this, tourists standing in the queue pleaded with the terrorists for mercy, but they were not heard and whoever tried to protest, was immediately shot.”

Patil also recalled Desale, a resident of the nearby New Panvel Township, who was one of the six tourists killed in Maharashtra that day. He said, “We both reached the spot together.”
Patil said that Desale opted for ropeway riding and also took pictures in a traditional Kashmiri dress with his wife. Everything happened in five minutes, but he will never forget those five minutes.
