South Africa has scored 263 runs against Pakistan in the first ODI. Despite the opening partnership of 98 runs, South Africa could not reach a big score and was reduced to 263. Quinton de Kock and Luan Dry Pretorius scored half-centuries. Pakistan’s Naseem Shah and Abrar Ahmed wreaked havoc on the South African batsmen. Both of them dismissed three batsmen each.
Quinton de Kock and Luan Drie Pretorius made a partnership of 98 runs for the first wicket. Pretorius was out after scoring 57 runs. Whereas De Kock has returned to the ODI team after 2 years, he played a half-century of 63 runs as soon as he came back. Apart from him, captain Matthew Britzke contributed 42 runs.
South Africa’s strength came out in 72 runs
The South African team had a great start and at one time had scored 191 runs at the loss of only 3 wickets. But after that 7 wickets of Africa fell for just 72 runs. It was good for Corbin Bosch, who played an inning of 41 runs and took the team’s score beyond 260, otherwise it was looking difficult for the team to score even 240 runs. The last 4 wickets of the South African team fell within just 35 runs.

The most successful bowler for Pakistan was Naseem Shah. He took 3 wickets for just 40 runs in 9.1 overs. Abrar Ahmed also took 3 wickets, but his economy rate was worse than Naseem. Sam Ayyub seems like he is becoming one of the main all-rounders of the team and is proving to be a consistent wicket taker and bowler. He took 2 wickets in this match also. Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Nawaz took one wicket each.
