Sindh Information Minister announced the film
According to the report of Mid Day, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has shared the poster of the film ‘Meri Layari’ on X. Along with this, he wrote in the caption – ‘Indian film ‘Dhurandhar’ is another example of negative promotion of the Indian film industry by targeting Pakistan, especially Lyari. Lyari is not a country of violence. This is a country of culture, peace, talent and strength. Mera Lyari will be released next month, which will show the true face of Lyari: peace, prosperity and pride. My love.’

‘Making a film will not erase Lyari’s decades-old history’
Netizens are reacting fiercely to the announcement of ‘Meri Lyari’ against ‘Dhurandhar’. One person commented – It is strange that Pakistan calls every uncomfortable mirror as propaganda. If the bigoted film hurts you, it’s probably because it shows the truths they want to suppress. Making a counter film will not erase the decades-old history of Lyari, which has been synonymous with gangs, weapons and terrorist activities. This story has not been written by Bollywood, but by the Pakistani government itself.
