The peace talks between Afghanistan and Pakistan in Turkey do not seem to yield any concrete results. The ceasefire between the two countries after the war still remains fragile. According to Afghanistan’s Tolo News, Pakistan has admitted during the talks that they have an agreement with a country, on the basis of which drone attacks were carried out.
The report quoted a source as saying that the Pakistani delegation has expressed its inability to stop drone attacks inside Afghanistan, as it is bound by an agreement with a third country.
Pakistan cannot stop drone attacks even if it wants to
Tolo News reported about the peace talks taking place in Ankara, Turkey that it has also been revealed that for the first time, Pakistan has accepted an agreement with another country allowing drone attacks and it cannot stop such attacks even if it wants to, because it is not possible to break this agreement.
The Pakistani delegation has asked the Afghan team to agree that Islamabad has the right to carry out attacks inside Afghanistan during TTP attacks. The source said the Pakistani delegation appeared disorganized, not making any coherent arguments and focusing more on withdrawing from the talks.
Pakistan wants to attack Afghanistan against TTP
According to Tolo News report, at one point he even requested Afghanistan to accept Pakistan’s right to attack Afghan soil in response to TTP attacks.
