After the long -running tension between India and Pakistan, now efforts are being made for peace once again. There was no firing on the border last night and the two countries followed the ceasefire (ceasefire). Under this, an important talks are going to be held today, which will be between DGMO i.e. Director General of Military Operations of both countries.
The purpose of this conversation is to maintain peace on the border and keep the ceasefire agreement for a long time. It is believed that India can show a tough stance on the violations made by Pakistan in this meeting. From India, DGMO Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai will participate in it, while Major General Kashif Abdullah will be included from Pakistan. This meeting can be done through video conference or hotline. Significantly, the ceasefire agreement was also done at this level.
Why is this meeting necessary?
The ceasefire between the two countries came into force from 5 pm on May 10, but after a few hours reports of violation from Pakistan came to light. India had made it clear that every violation would be given a strong reply. In such a situation, in today’s meeting, displeasure over violations from India can be expressed and concrete steps can be discussed to maintain peace in future.
How much DGMO gets salary?
DGMO in India is an officer of Lieutenant General Rank. According to reports, they get basic salary of 2,25,000 every month under the 7th Pay Commission. Apart from this, Military Service Pay, Dearness (DA) and other government facilities are available, due to which the total monthly salary is more than 3 lakhs. At the same time, DGMO is an officer of Major General Rank in Pakistan and their salary is between 1.5 to 2 lakhs in Indian rupees. It includes all allowances.
