Pakistan News: Things in Pakistan are becoming uncontrollable day by day. It seems difficult for Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to handle the situation. An accident occurred in Karachi’s Malir Jail late on Monday night, which put the entire city in panic. The prisoners in jail suddenly took up arms and attacked the jail administration.
According to eyewitnesses, the prisoners tried to break the main gate, spreading violence in the jail premises and started running out. There were sharp clashes between the security personnel and the prisoners, causing the atmosphere around the jail to become completely tense. People were imprisoned in their homes due to fear. It is being told that a total of 216 prisoners escaped in this mass jail break. After this incident, the authorities started a large -scale search operation, during which more than 80 prisoners were apprehended, while a prisoner was killed.
The area resonated with bullets
The local media ‘Sama TV’ quoted sources as saying that the rebellion happened so suddenly that the jail administration did not get a chance to recover. As soon as the prisoners attacked, the police retaliated and fired fiercely. But despite this, a large number of prisoners managed to escape.
However, it is not yet clear how many prisoners have escaped. The police have apprehended more than 20 absconding prisoners. A policeman was seriously injured, who was immediately sent to the hospital.
Panic atmosphere in residential areas
People living in the areas adjacent to Malir Jail said that the sounds of bullets were echoed overnight. People felt as if they were trapped in a war area. Many people stayed in their homes all night in the shadow of fear. A local resident said, “We never thought that staying near the jail could be so dangerous. The sounds of bullets were so loud that we hid under the beds with children.”
Highway seal, army deployment
The National Highway (National Highway), located near the jail, has been sealed on both sides of precaution. Police and paramilitary forces have surrounded the entire area, so that the possibility of escape of any other prisoner can be eliminated and the safety of citizens can be ensured.
Jail DIG Hasan Setho said that Malir Jail has been completely sealed. He also admitted that many prisoners and security personnel were injured inside the jail. But now the situation is under control and the jail administration has been asked to re -calculate the number of prisoners.
Is Pakistan’s jails too safe now?
This incident not only raises serious questions on the jail system of Pakistan, but also shows how critical the law and order situation within the country has become. Such a rebellion in a high-quality jail like Malir Jail indicates that the internal crisis has deepened. The situation continues to monitor the situation and it is expected that after the final count of the prisoners, the whole truth of this violent incident will be revealed.
