The Ministry of External Affairs of India has issued an official statement on Thursday (October 16, 2025) regarding the ongoing conflict between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Ministry of External Affairs has said that we are keeping a close eye on this matter.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, ‘Three things are clear on the tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The first thing is that Pakistan gives shelter to terrorist organizations and sponsors terrorist activities. Secondly, it is Pakistan’s old habit to blame its neighbors for its internal failures and thirdly, Pakistan is angry that Afghanistan is exercising sovereignty over its territories.
Emphasizing this, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that India is fully committed to the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Afghanistan.
India gave strong reaction to Pakistan’s allegations
There have been border clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan twice in the same week. Pakistan has accused Afghanistan of giving shelter to terrorists. Apart from this, Pakistan has been indirectly blaming India for this conflict. To which now the Indian Foreign Ministry has given a strong reaction. The Ministry of External Affairs has said that it is a long-standing habit of Pakistan to blame its neighbors for its internal failures, especially for promoting and harboring terrorism.

The ministry also clarified that Pakistan should take responsibility for its own problems and not try to divert attention by making false allegations on neighboring countries.
17 people died in Afghanistan-Pakistan clash
Dozens of soldiers and civilians were killed in fresh border clashes between Afghanistan and Pakistan on Tuesday (October 14, 2025) night. At the same time, the United Nations Mission in Afghanistan said that on Wednesday (October 15, 2025), 17 people were killed and 346 people were injured in the air strikes carried out by the Pakistani Army in Afghanistan.
