Tension continues in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Dr. Mohammad Naeem and Chinese Ambassador Yu Xiaoyong met. Both the leaders discussed the recent Afghan-Pakistan tension situation during the meeting. Bilateral relations between the two countries were also discussed in the meeting.
Dr. Mohammad Naeem, Deputy Foreign Minister in the Government of Afghanistan, said that China and Afghanistan are two historical neighbors and there are many similarities between the two countries.
Along with this, he expressed gratitude for China’s support and Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammad Naeem has confirmed that the Islamic Emirate is committed to dialogue with all countries on the basis of mutual respect. He also said that Afghanistan’s soil will not be used against any other country.
Amid the recent tension with Pakistan, the Afghan minister hit out that Pakistan has been testing the patience of the Islamic Emirate for the last four years, forcing it to respond. Along with this, he reiterated that the Emirates’ firm stance is that issues should be resolved through dialogue and understanding.
Meanwhile, China’s Ambassador to Afghanistan Yu Xiaoyong said that China wants to strengthen long-term relations with Afghanistan on the basis of mutual respect and values its national sovereignty. He further said that China wants to play a constructive role in resolving differences between Afghanistan and Pakistan and welcomes the mediation efforts of Qatar and Türkiye.
Let us tell you that in the last few days, there has been huge tension on the Afghanistan and Pakistan border. After the death of many people in violent clashes on both sides, a ceasefire agreement was reached between Qatar and Turkey. However, despite the ceasefire, the situation of tension continues.
