Pakistan Issued Notam to Close Its Airspace for Indian Aircraft from 23 May to 23 June 2025 Tensions With India Ann

Tension has continued in India Pakistan since Operation Sindoor. Meanwhile, Pakistan has issued a notice (notice) to shut down its airspace for Indian aircraft from 23 May to 23 June 2025. This includes the Indian airline and operator -operated ownership or hired aircraft. Apart from this, military flights are also included.

This decision from Pakistan has come amid growing military tension between the two countries. Especially on April 22, there has been continuous tension since the terrorist attack and operation vermilion in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. India has also shut down its airspace for Pakistani aircraft till 23 May.

‘Notam was released on 24 April by Pakistan’

According to the notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by Pakistan’s aviation officials on Friday, Pakistan has extended the duration of shutting down its airspace for Indian aircraft and Indian airlines and operators for one month.

The notam released by Pakistan on April 24 was scheduled to end on Saturday (May 24) at 5:29 am Indian time and it was replaced with a new notam on Friday (May 23), the effective period of which has been extended till 5:29 am on June 24.

‘It takes more time to go to Europe and Middle East’
Around 800 flights of Indian airlines are being affected by long flight, increased fuel consumption and some other complications related to flight scheduling, with increasing operational costs. Flights of Indian airlines from North India to West Asia, Caucasus, Europe, Britain and the eastern region of North America are moving out of their regular routes to long routes, which has increased by a few hours in the journey.
