The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday claimed that the match referee Andy Pycroft has apologized to his national team for banning the joins of Indian and Pakistani players during the Asia Cup match. Pakistan on Wednesday delayed leaving for the match against the United Arab Emirates to protest against the ICC refusing to remove the Picroft, due to which the match started an hour late.

Pakistan claimed that Zimbabwe’s Referee Picroft has apologized for this. PCB said in a statement on ‘X’, “ICC’s controversial match referee Andy Picroft has apologized to the manager and captain of the Pakistani cricket team. Andy Pycroft prevented the captains of both teams from joining hands during the India-Pakistan match. ,

The PCB said, “The Pakistan Cricket Board had reacted strongly to the actions of Andy Pikeroft. Andy Pycroft described the September 14 incident as a result of misunderstanding and apologized. ,

The Pakistan Board also claimed that the ICC would investigate its complaint against Pycroft. It said, “The ICC has expressed readiness to investigate the violation of the code of conduct during the match on 14 September. ,

Hardly Pakistan made a place in Super 4

Prior to the Karo or Die against UAE, Pakistan has now made its place in Super 4 of the gasping Asia Cup 2025 after a huge drama. He defeated UAE by 41 runs in Do and Die Match. Now India and Pakistan have qualified for Super 4 from Group A. Chasing the target of 147 runs, the UAE team could not play even 20 overs and was all out for 105 runs in 17.4 overs.
