An old prophecy of world famous mystic Riyaz Ahmed Gauhar Shahi is spreading rapidly on social media these days. It is being claimed that he had warned about 20–25 years ago that a huge comet would hit the Earth in 2025 and this would bring about the end of the world. This discussion increased further when it came to light in the British media that he had given a similar indication in his book The Religion of God. This is why people are discussing 2025 as the year of doomsday.
People who believe in Shahi say that some big celestial body is going to come very close to the Earth. They claim that if this happens, the oceans will swell, major earthquakes will occur on Earth and human civilization will be disrupted. However, when these claims are looked at from a scientific perspective, the picture appears completely different, because till now no evidence has been found that would confirm this holocaust.
NASA’s clear response
American space agency NASA has made it clear in recent reports that nothing is moving towards the Earth that could pose a threat of collision. Other observatories also said that there is no possibility of any comet or asteroid hitting the Earth in the coming time. Objects passing near the Earth are being continuously monitored, but no sign of danger was found for 2025. Scientists also believe that some asteroids hidden in the sunlight can sometimes become visible overnight, but no such body currently exists which can be considered a threat to the Earth.
Who was Riyaz Gauhar Shahi
Riyaz Ahmed Gauhar Shahi of Pakistan is considered by his followers as a mystic and prophet. He suddenly disappeared from London in 2001, after which his followers claimed that he was still alive but in a “special state away from the world”. His predictions keep spreading on social media from time to time and many people also associate them with Nostradamus.
Is there really going to be an apocalypse in 2025?
According to scientists, the claim of comet collision in 2025 is based entirely on religious interpretation and beliefs, and not on scientific research. The Earth’s atmosphere, astronomy monitoring system and modern technology are continuously keeping an eye on the planets and satellites. For this reason, any major threat in the coming years can be predicted well in advance.
