Shehbaz sharif on India Pakistan Conflicts: Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has given a big statement about peace amidst the huge tension between India and Pakistan for the last few days. The Pakistani PM said on Thursday (May 15) said that he is ready to hold peace talks with India.

According to the Reuters report, this statement of Shahbaz Sharif has come on a ceasefire agreement on May 10, 2025 to prevent military actions between the two countries.

Pahalgam terror attack increased tension between the two countries

The cause of the recently increased tension between India and Pakistan was a terrorist attack on tourists in Basaron Valley of Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025. A Nepali citizen, including 25 Indian citizens, was also killed in this attack. The responsibility of which was taken by the TRF, a small group in the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET).

India launched Operation Sindoor in response to Pahalgam attack

In response to the terrorist attack of Pahalgam, India started a retaliation against Pakistan in the name of Operation Sindoor on 7 May. Under this operation, India launched accurate attacks on 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). In which more than 100 terrorists were killed.

Ceasefire implemented after 4 days of deadly military action

After this, drone and missile attacks between India and Pakistan started. India destroyed all drones and missile attacks by Pakistan in the air. Apart from this, he was also ruined at military bases in many provinces and cities of Pakistan. After continuous military actions for 4 days, a ceasefire agreement was signed between the two sides. However, even after the ceasefire is implemented, India has continued the sanctions imposed on Pakistan.

Indian Foreign Minister warns Pakistan over terrorism

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar made it clear on Thursday (May 15, 2025) that India will be ready to discuss with Pakistan only when Pakistan will be ready to end all the terrorist structures and their relations with them.

Jaishankar said, “I think the Prime Minister has made it clear that there will be talks with Pakistan only on terrorism.” He said, “Pakistan has a list of terrorists, which are very important to hand over.”

He further said, “Pakistan knows what to do. We are ready to negotiate with them on the issue of terrorism. This is the only subject on which talks are possible.”
