Pakistan scared of Taliban, Khwaja Asif appealed to Trump by mentioning India, said – ‘Stop this war also’

Pakistan has appealed to US President Donald Trump to mediate in the ongoing war between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The country’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif described Trump as ‘most welcome’ and said that if he wants to establish peace then he is welcome.

Khawaja Asif praised Trump
Speaking to Geo TV, Khawaja Asif said, ‘American Presidents have often been responsible for wars, but Trump is the first American President who tried to stop the war. In the last 15–20 years, America promoted wars, but Trump initiated peace talks. If he wants to help in Pakistan-Afghanistan war, he is welcome.

Accusations made against India
Asif also made strange allegations against India. He said that India is supporting Taliban and fighting a proxy war against Pakistan. A few days ago, Donald Trump, while referring to his peace efforts, had said that he had stopped eight major wars in eight months. He also claimed that he had stopped the war between India and Pakistan by threatening tariffs. Trump said, ‘No one gave me the Nobel Prize, but I probably saved the lives of millions of people.’

Pakistan recommends Trump for Nobel Prize
Praising the diplomatic initiative of US President Donald Trump, Pakistan has also recommended him for the Nobel Peace Prize. Apart from this, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir have called Trump a ‘leader who stops wars’.

India rejected American interference
At the same time, India did not give importance to America’s mediation. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that all talks between India and Pakistan had taken place ‘directly through the established channels of both armies’.
