Pakistan hindu temple: Members of the Hindu community in Sindh province of Pakistan demonstrated against illegal occupation of six acres of land of a historic temple in Hyderabad city. The protest took place on Sunday (May 1, 2025) in Tando Jam town of Moses Khatian district, about 185 km from Karachi.
Illegal construction is being done on temple land- Pakistani Hindu
The Hindu community leader Setal Meghwar said, “These people have already started illegal construction on the land of Shiva temple Shivala in Moses Khatian.” The protesters, including women and children, came out at the call of the Pakistan Dalit Ittehad-Pakistan Dravid alliance (PDI), which fights for the welfare and rights of the Hindu community.
Demand for action from Shahbaz government
Another community leader Ram Sundar said, “The temple is sacred for us and these builders have started construction on the land around the temple including the cremation ground of the community.” The protesters demanded immediate action against the government against the builders belonging to the influential Kashkheli community in Sindh.
Demonstration warning in Hyderabad city
After staging a sit -in at various places in the city, a demonstration was held in front of the Tando Jam Press Club. The protesters said that the builder has also closed the way to reach the Shiva temple, which has made it difficult for the members of the community to perform weekly puja. Police is not ready to remove encroachment due to the political influence of land grabbers. ”
He warned that if the government and local officials do not pay attention to this, they will protest in the city of Hyderabad in the next phase and will also knock the courts for justice.
