Meanwhile, the World Para Athletics Championship (World Para Athletics Championship 2025 Venue) is being started from Saturday, which will be organized at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. It is reported that Pakistan has completely boycotted this athletics championship.
Pakistan’s National Paralympic Committee (NCPC) issued a statement on Thursday stating that it has decided not to participate in the World Para Athletics Championship after the advice of the Pakistan government.
According to the Times of India, the Secretary General of NCPS, Imran Jamil Shami said that Pakistan was first to send Hyder Ali to participate in the F37 event. But later the committee withdrew his name due to security reasons and people’s anger. Imran confirmed that Pakistan has decided to boycott the championship.
Emraan Jamil Shami says, “We did not send our athletes because we take care of the safety of our athletes, coaching staff and managers. Our government advised due to political relations with India that Pakistan’s athletes should not go to India to participate in the championships. Everyone can see what is happening in the Asia Cup.
Remind you that Hyder Ali had won the gold medal in a shot put in 2020 Tokyo Olympics. At the same time, at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, he captured the bronze medal in the Discus throw. The World Para Athletics Championship will start from 26 September and run till 5 October.
