Pakistan Boycott T20 World Cup 2026 Match Against India! If Pakistan refuses to play in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, then it knows very well that the International Cricket Council (ICC) will play its band. Along with this, Pakistan will get many severe punishments including ban and will have to face huge losses in world cricket. In such a situation, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made a clever plan to avoid the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and ICC. If reports are to be believed, Pakistan is preparing to take revenge from India for the Champions Trophy and Asia Cup by not playing the match against India on 15th February.
Will Pakistan boycott India’s match?
If the match between Pakistan and India does not take place in the T20 World Cup 2026, then ICC may suffer a huge loss due to this. Cricket experts are seeing this as a masterstroke for Pakistan. Actually, Pakistan knows that if it refuses to play the match against India then ICC will not be able to do any harm to it. In the name of loss, he will only lose two points but ICC can take action against him if he leaves the entire T20 World Cup.
Many teams have already abandoned their matches
Anyway, this would not be the first time that a team has refused to play a match against another team in a big ICC event like the World Cup. This first happened in the 1996 World Cup when Australia and West Indies refused to play their group-stage matches in Sri Lanka. Because of this he had to lose two points. This was seen for the second time in the 2003 World Cup, when England did not play its match in Zimbabwe. Similarly, New Zealand had refused to tour Kenya and both the teams had to lose their points.
Will take decision on T20 World Cup after asking Prime Minister: Mohsin Naqvi
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, after meeting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday, January 26, said that the board will take the final decision on participating in the World Cup on Friday or next Monday. It was said that Pakistan is considering boycotting its match against India in solidarity with Bangladesh who were excluded from the T20 World Cup 2026.
