Pakistan cricket team captain Salman Aga has tried to tease ICC. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has expelled the Bangladesh cricket team from the T20 World Cup 2026, but in the captains’ press conference held in Colombo on February 5, Pakistani captain Salman Aga took the name of Bangladesh. He gave the slogan of brotherhood for Pakistani and Bangladeshi players.
After Bangladesh’s exit from the T20 World Cup, Pakistan announced that it will participate in the T20 World Cup tournament, but will boycott the match against India. In the press conference of the captains, Salman Aga was asked a question regarding Bangladesh. He described the absence of Bangladesh team in the World Cup as a sad incident.
Pakistani-Bangladeshi brothers-brothers
When asked a question about Bangladesh, Salman Aga said in the conference, “Bangladeshis are our brothers. We are grateful for their support towards Pakistan. It is sad that Bangladesh is not in the T20 World Cup.”
On the other hand, Asif Nazrul, Sports Advisor to Bangladesh Government, has thanked Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Sharif had said that Pakistan has decided to boycott the match against India to show solidarity with Bangladesh.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan said that after much deliberation, he has decided to boycott the match with India. He also said that the people of Pakistan should stand with Bangladesh. Let us tell you that Bangladesh’s place in the T20 World Cup has been given to Scotland, while the match between India and Pakistan is to be played in Colombo on 15th February. The Indian team will be present in Colombo, but considering the attitude of Shahbaz Sharif, the chances of Pakistan team coming to the field are negligible.
