Pakistani citizen appeared in sc: A Pakistani citizen, who has been living on long -term visas since the last nine years i.e. 2016 in Goa, has filed a petition in the Supreme Court on Thursday (June 5, 2025) against the Central Government’s decision to cancel the visa of Pakistanis.
26 people were killed in a terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, most of which were tourists. After this attack, the central government issued a notification and canceled the visas issued to Pakistanis. In these, exemption was given to those who were specifically expressed as an exception and the deadline for their country was fixed.

Advocate said- petitioner is born in India
The advocate said that the petitioner would return, but it should be heard as special conditions contained in long -term visas. The advocate told the bench that the petitioner was born in India. However, the Supreme Court asked the advocate why his client did not move the Regional High Court. On this, the advocate said that the police had come to the petitioner, after which the bench said that it would be listed for hearing the case.
SC Ban on sending 6 people to Pakistan for verification of citizenship
At the same time, in another case, the Supreme Court on May 2 directed the officials not to send six members of a family living in India for more than the visa period until their claim of citizenship is verified.
