Pakistani Hackers Hit 1.5 Million Indian Websites after Operation Sindoor Mostly Failed All Details

After the ‘Operation Sindoor’ of the Indian Armed Forces, the hacking groups associated with Pakistan have started cyber attacks against India. According to the report of Maharashtra Cyber, so far more than 1.5 million cyber attacks have been on Indian websites and critical infrastructure. However, only 150 of these attacks were successful, that is, the total failure rate was 99.99%.

The report is named “Road of Sindoor” and has been given to all important agencies including the State Police and Intelligence Department. It states that these attacks are being done not only from Pakistan, but also from Bangladesh, Middle East and Indonesia. Additional DGP Yashasvi Yadav of Maharashtra Cyber ​​said that even though there has been a decrease in military hostels between India and Pakistan, cyber attacks have not stopped.

Which websites were targeted and how?

These attacks targeted places like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Telecom Companies and Defense Nursing College (Jalandhar). In some cases the websites were defeated and some data theft was also revealed, which later appeared on the dark web.

Talking technically, technic like DDOS (Distributed Denial-of-Service), Malware, website defancement and GPS spoofing were used. Apart from this, Pakistan -associated cyber groups also tried to spread fake news and missinformation, such as an attack on India’s power grid, satellite jamming, attack on BrahMos missile storage.

These groups together launched around 1.5 million targeted cyber attacks against India. Maharashtra Cyber ​​Cell has thwarted many of them and so far more than 5,000 fake posts and missinformation have been removed from social media.
