After the third consecutive defeat of the national team at the hands of India in the Asia Cup, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) president Mohsin Naqvi faced criticism and ridicule on social media. There is a demand to remove them from the post immediately.
Pakistan lost to India in the final held on Sunday, after which Indian players refused to take the winning trophy from Naqvi, who are also heads of the Asian Cricket Council.
Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Moonis Elahi wrote on X, “If this ‘chosen’ Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has a little courage, then he should take action against Mohsin Naqvi, who has ruined Pakistan cricket in such a short time.”
He further said, “This shameless man has no regrets but those who have appointed him should think. It should be removed immediately. ”
Former Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair also targeted Naqvi, alleging that he dropped the top of Pakistan’s top players from the team, due to which the team suffered three consecutive defeats at the hands of the arch -rivals India.
Zubair claimed, “This man dropped Pakistan’s best batsman Babar Azam from the team. He also dropped Pakistan’s best wicketkeeper batsman Rizwan out of the team and chose players like Salman Aga and Haris in his place. He destroyed our batting. ”
Jail -jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan said political comparison, saying, “Mohsin Naqvi is doing the same with cricket as Army Chief General Aseem Munir is doing with Pakistan.”
Other people accused Naqvi of targeting real talents. Journalist Omar Daraj Gondal said that even if the Indian captain should refuse to join hands or take a trophy, ‘The only answer is that India be defeated and shut down his mouth in the stadium.’
He further alleged, “Cricket has fallen in Pakistan, like hockey. Why? Because Naqvi was appointed through connivance with ‘Bigg Boss’ and he became the president just because he is his favorite. No one can blame them. ”
