Babar Azam looked a complete flop in the T20 World Cup 2026. The team’s performance with Babar was also poor, due to which the Men in Green could not reach the semi-finals. Actually, a post was shared on social media. The post read, “Babar Azam has retired from the T20 international team.” It reads, “See more.” However when clicking on View More, nothing is opening.

Reality of viral post

So let us tell you that this is a fake post. This has nothing to do with truth. Simply put, Babar has not retired. This is false news. Currently, Babar is available in all three formats for Pakistan.

Babar’s poor performance

Talking about Babar Azam’s performance in the tournament, he scored only 91 runs while batting in 4 innings of 6 matches, in which his high score was 46 runs. His strike rate was 112.34.

Babar Azam’s international career

Talking about Babar’s international career, till now he has played 61 Tests, 140 ODIs and 145 T20 International matches. Batting in 112 innings of Test, he scored 4366 runs at an average of 42.38. During this period, he scored 9 centuries and 30 half-centuries.

Apart from this, Babar has scored 6501 runs in 137 innings of ODI at an average of 53.72. During this period, 20 centuries and 37 half-centuries came from his bat.
