Pakistan’s legendary cricketer retired at the age of 43, became emotional after announcing his retirement

Shoaib Malik PSL Retirement: Veteran Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik has retired from Pakistan Super League at the age of 43. He was playing in PSL since the first season in 2016 and scored more than two thousand runs in his memorable career. He has decided to retire just before PSL 11. Let us tell you that the next season will start from March 26. Shoaib Malik confirmed his retirement through social media.

While sharing his experience of 10 seasons in Pakistan Super League, he said that he has made a lot of memories in the last 10 years, but now he is saying goodbye to this league. He also said that he is retiring from PSL, but he will always strive for the betterment of cricket.

Shoaib Malik kept playing in this league since the days when PSL was played in UAE. He played for Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi in Pakistan Super League. He played 93 matches in his PSL career, in which he scored 2,350 runs. He retired as the fourth highest run scorer in the history of this league. He also took 17 wickets with his off-spin bowling.

In his historic T20 career of 557 matches, he scored 13,571 runs. He has 83 half-centuries in his T20 career and is counted among the greatest players of T20 cricket. In this brilliant T20 career, he also took 187 wickets. Talking about international cricket, Shoaib Malik has retired from Test and ODI, but he never announced retirement from T20 cricket. He has not played any T20 match for Pakistan team since November 2021.
