Pakistan’s double character on terrorism has once again been exposed. A minister in Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government visited the political wing of Hafiz Saeed’s banned organization Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD). Shahbaz government minister Talal Chaudhary visited the office of banned organization JuD, Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) and met its leaders.
Pakistani minister gave grand welcome to terrorists
Minister of State Senator Talal Chaudhary went to PMML House in Faisalabad, about 130 km from Lahore, where its leaders welcomed him. His visit is being seen as official protection from the Shahbaz government to Saeed’s political organization. Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed has been in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat jail since 2019 after being convicted in several terror financing cases.
Statement of terrorist organization regarding the meeting
PMML said in a statement that during the visit, Chaudhary held a detailed meeting with the party leadership. It said, ‘The discussion focused on the current political situation and major national issues. Both sides stressed the importance of national unity, political stability and continuity of democratic processes in the country.
The statement said the participants agreed that in the current circumstances, all political forces should adopt a collective and constructive approach to promote harmony and strengthen democratic institutions.
PAK engaged in giving protection to terrorist organization
This is the first visit of any federal minister to the PMML office in recent times. Earlier, Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Ahmed Khan had attended a PMML rally in Punjab’s Kasur district and praised Saeed. This is the first visit of a minister to the PMML office in recent years, which has brought Pakistan’s leaders and fundamentalist organizations into line.
