In Hinduism, the great importance of Ekadashi fast has been told. Ekadashi falling between Holika Dahan and Chaitra Navratri is called Papamochani Ekadashi.
The fast of Papamochani Ekadashi is the last Ekadashi of the year. The fast of Papamochani Ekadashi will be observed on March 25, Tuesday. According to Hindu Panchag, the Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month is observed on Papamochani Ekadashi.
It is believed that by observing the fast of Papamochani Ekadashi, one gets freedom from all sins and also attains salvation.
The fast of Ekadashi is dedicated to Lord Hari Vishnu. On this day, Vishnu Ji Vishnu of the world is worshiped through law and order. Ekadashi fast is passed on the next day after sunrise.
On this day, along with Vishnu ji, worship Goddess Lakshmi. On this day, by worshiping with the law, a person gets the happiness of wealth.
Worshiping Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi ji on the day of Papamochani Ekadashi gives freedom from sins.
