Independent MP from Purnia Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav claimed that his security was removed and got angry. Attacking the government, he has said that an open invitation has been given to those who intend to attack him by removing his security. Describing his life as a threat, he asked why his security was being removed again and again. He said that he has gone to the High Court regarding this. Will also meet the Home Minister in the House.
MP Pappu Yadav said while talking to the media, “Give the criminal the open title that we have removed the security, you kill me. Yes, I have got security, there was no mercy from them in it.” Why are you removing my protection again and again? First, security was removed from Madhepura, when the arrest had just taken place. Before that there were three SLRs in Purnia, they were removed and now today they have hurriedly removed the BMP security.

Pappu Yadav was arrested on 6 February
It is noteworthy that MP Pappu Yadav was arrested on 6 February 2026 from his Mandiri residence in Patna in connection with a 31-year-old case registered at Gardanibagh police station. During his arrest, his supporters created a ruckus and protested. During this time there was an altercation between his supporters and the police. After this another case was registered against him.
Pappu Yadav’s health deteriorated after his arrest, after which he was taken to Indira Gandhi Institute of Ayurveda (IGIMS) and later referred to PMCH. On the basis of medical report, he was later sent to Beur jail. After this, on February 10, the court granted him bail in the 31-year-old Gardanibagh case. He was seen on a wheelchair during his appearance in the MP-MLA court.
