Para Commando is the special force unit of the parachute regiment of the Indian Army. Their job is to perform a special operation against the enemies of the country. They are selected through the Indian Army. They are specially trained. The dream of joining this is not only men but also women.
Payal Chhabra is the first female para commando
Major Payal Chhabra, who hails from Kaithal, Haryana, has created history by becoming a para commando. They have MBBS and MS Surgery degrees. He also received Marun Berett. After completing her studies in 2020, she became a senior doctor in Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College Surgery Department in Karnal, Haryana. Apart from this, he passed the examination of becoming para commandos while holding the post of surgeon in the army.
She has become the first woman to do so. She is offering her services as an expert surgeon at the Army Hospital in Leh, Ladakh, Union Territory of the country. Prior to this, she has also served at Army Hospital in the world’s second highest Khardungla Motor Bypass.
After passing the exam, Payal told that this journey was not easy for him. He trained at Paratropers Training School in Agra to become commandos. He told that his training started every day between three and four o’clock in the morning. They had to run 40 kilometers with a weight of 25 kg. Together, many difficult tasks had to be completed. Payal has such a passion for the country service that he has passed the examination of becoming a para commando despite the senior doctor. In 2021, Major Payal Chhabra received the first appointment as a captain at Army Hospital Ambala Cantt.
