Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman (PCB Chairman) Mohsin Naqvi has landed on the dictatorship. He has refused to give a no-objection certificate to Pakistani players to play in foreign T20 leagues. According to ESPN Cricinfo, players’ NOC has been stopped at the moment for playing in foreign T20 leagues and tournaments. It is being told that the board has taken this decision after Pakistan’s defeat of 5 wickets against India in the Asia Cup final.
The report of ESPN Cricinfo stated that 7 big players including Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi had received NOC to play in foreign leagues, but at present it has been banned. 3 Pakistani players are going to be bid in the ILT20 auction to be held on 30 September. It is clear that according to the order of PCB, Pakistani players will not be able to play in foreign leagues.
It is also worth noting that the board allows the players involved in the PCB Central Contract List to play in only 2 foreign leagues a year. On one hand, Babar Azam has signed a deal with Sydney Sixers. At the same time, Mohammad Rizwan is going to play for Melbourne Renegade in the Big Bash League itself. Let us tell you that the next season of BBL will start from December 14.
Apart from Babur and Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan and Hasan Ali were also selected in BBL drafts. This means a total of 7 Pakistani players are going to play in the next season of BBL, but PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi may not have been able to do this due to the new decision.
Recall that Mohsin Naqvi had taken the trophy with him after the Asia Cup final. After that incident, Naqvi was trolled fiercely on social media, even called ‘Trophy Chor’.
