Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission has released the notification of State Service Examination-2025, under which a total of 238 posts will be recruited in various departments. This time, maximum 51 posts are for Naib Tehsildar, while 29 posts have been kept for Chief Municipal Officer (Class ‘C’) and 28 posts have been kept for State Police Service (DSP). Like previous years, this time too the number of posts has been between 200–250, which shows the continuous demand for administrative services in the state.
Other important posts in the recruitment include 18 posts of Chief Municipal Officer (Class ‘B’), 14 posts of State Administrative Service, 16 posts of State Tax Inspector, 12 posts of Sub Registrar, 11 posts of Excise Sub Inspector and 10 posts of State Tax Assistant Commissioner. The application process for all posts will start from 1 December 2025 at 12 noon and will continue online till 30 December 2025 at 11:59 pm.
age limit
The age limit for general category has been fixed at 21 to 30 years, whereas for local residents of Chhattisgarh the maximum age will be 40 years. SC/ST/OBC, women, widow/abandoned, ex-servicemen and physically handicapped candidates will be given additional relaxation as per rules. For application, a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is necessary, although final year candidates will be able to appear for the preliminary examination, but the degree will remain mandatory till the main examination.

Selection will be like this
The selection process will be completed in three stages: preliminary examination, main examination and interview. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of total 1500 marks including written examination and interview. Applications will be accepted through online mode only.
When will the correction window open?
The error correction window will be free from December 31 to January 2, 2026, while paid error correction can be done from January 3 to January 5. The preliminary examination will be held on 22 February 2026 in two shifts and the main examination will be held from 16 to 19 May 2026.
