Important decisions have been taken in the first cabinet meeting of Sushila Karki Sarkar of Nepal. The government has decided to give Rs 10 lakh in the form of compensation to the families of those killed during the Genji movement. Apart from this, Rs 5 lakh will be provided to each family for other necessary expenses.
All the people killed during the protest declared martyr
The government has declared all the people killed in the Genji movement as martyrs. Along with this, it has also been decided to celebrate 17 September (1 Ashoj) every year as Condolence Day. The government has taken the in -principle decision to set up a high -level Judicial Inquiry Commission to conduct a fair investigation into the incidents during the Genji movement. The Antarim government has also decided to withdraw all the proposals presented by the former Oli cabinet in the cabinet.
Construction of Genji Memorial Park
In memory of the people who were martyred in the Genji movement, the government has decided to build a Jenji Memorial Park, so that their sacrifice is not lost and can become an inspiration for the generations to come.
Sushila Karki formed three new ministers
Nepal acting Prime Minister Sushila Karki included three new ministers in her cabinet. Kulaman Ghising, Rameshwar Khanal and Om Prakash Aryal were sworn in on Monday (September 15, 2025). Sushila Karki took over on Sunday (14 September, 2025). President Ramchandra Paudel made this appointment on his recommendation.

- Kulman Ghising was given the charge of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Urban Development.
- Rameshwar Khanal was appointed as Finance Minister.
- Om Prakash Aryal was given the charge of Law and Home Ministry.
72 people died in nationwide demonstration
