Pew Researh Report on Islam: The latest report of Pew Research Center states that in the coming 35 years, Islam religion will become the fastest growing religion in the world. According to Pew report, by 2060, the estimated figure of Muslim population will be more than 3 billion. At present, the total Muslim population in the world is about 2 billion at present. The population rate, conversion rate and young Muslim population are being held responsible for increasing the number of Muslims in the coming time. Islam is not only growing on the basis of birth rate, but the rate of maintaining its identity is also very high.
Pew survey (in 13 countries) has revealed that more than 90% of people who grew up in Muslim families still consider themselves Muslims. Only in the US, this number decreases to about 74%, which is less than the rest of the countries. Christianity is the lowest number of those who leave Islam compared to Judaism, Judaism and Hinduism. Most of the people who leave Islam no longer believe any religion or recognize themselves as Christians. In countries like America, Kenya, Ghana, Christians from Christians were seen most from Islam
Reality of conversion: What do figures say compared to media?
Conversion in the era of religious polarization is a controversial issue, but Pu Report clarifies that Islam in 13 countries of the world is less than 3%. In Muslim -dominated countries such as Indonesia, the rate of conversion or leaving in Islam is less than 1%. The contribution of conversion in the population growth of Islam is enough. This is the main reason for this that its population is not being seen and it is constantly increasing.
Status of Hinduism
In Pew Report, information about Hinduism has been received from only four countries. This is India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and America. Almost all people, raised as Hindus in India and Bangladesh, are still Hindus. In Sri Lanka, 9 out of 10 Hindus have maintained their identity. In America, only 82% of Hinduism raised in Hinduism consider themselves Hindus when they are adults. 11% of Hindus in America are now atheists, agnostists or unrelated to religion. Many former Hindus in Sri Lanka now convert to Christianity. According to the survey conducted in India and Bangladesh, religious stability is the highest here. Here 99% of Hindus and Muslims remain on their congenital religion. It is a symbol of the strength, family values and religious social structure of religious culture.
