Amidst preparations for the assembly elections in Kerala, Congress leader K. C. Venugopal has made some allegations against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. On Friday (March 27, 2026), he said that Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan is scared of Rahul Gandhi’s influence in the state and he is not saying a single word against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
KC Venugopal made these claims while talking to journalists. He said that the Chief Minister has been continuously attacking Rahul Gandhi in his press conferences for the last two days. He said, ‘Pinarai Vijayan knows how much the people of Kerala are influenced by Rahul Gandhi, hence he is scared of him and when he is continuously targeting Rahul Gandhi, then something should be said against Prime Minister Narendra Modi also.’
KC Venugopal alleged that Pinarayi Vijayan is not speaking against Prime Minister Modi because he has made agreements with the Center on PM-Shri scheme and labor codes. KC Venugopal said that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Other Chief Ministers including Stalin are strongly raising the demands of their states, securing funds and fighting against divisive politics but the Kerala Chief Minister is focused only on targeting Rahul Gandhi.
KC Venugopal said, ‘The people of Kerala know who Rahul Gandhi is.’ Referring to the alleged incident involving a supporter in Pathanamthitta, he said Congress is a democratic party and its leaders will not use harsh language against the public like Vijayan.
KC Venugopal said that the United Democratic Front (UDF) is united to oust the Left Democratic Front from power. He said that if the UDF comes to power, the construction of houses for the 2024 landslide victims in Wayanad will be completed, as promised by the Congress. He also expressed confidence that when the results are declared on May 4, UDF will register a massive victory on all the seats in Wayanad.
