Till October 28, the sale of platform tickets will remain closed at 5 big stations New Delhi, Old Delhi, Nizamuddin Anand Vihar and Ghaziabad railway station. However, people coming to drop senior citizens, disabled persons and women passengers can go to the inquiry office and book platform tickets. This decision has been taken to manage the crowd. At the same time, parcel offices at three big stations New Delhi, Old Delhi and Anand Vihar will remain closed for the next 10 days till October 26.
Northern Railway said in a statement, “In view of the heavy rush due to upcoming festivals like Diwali and Chhath, the sale of platform tickets has been discontinued at New Delhi, Delhi Junction, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Anand Vihar Terminal and Ghaziabad railway stations from 15-10-2025 to 28-10-2025.”
